Diversion Dam Construction Photos

The original dam just didn't cut it

This is a drawing of the diversion dam structure. Even though Laku is filled by ground water, we have sufficient water rights to divert water from the B.H. Eaton irrigation ditch to recharge any water loss due to seapage or evaporation. This helps us maintain the perfect water level. When the dam is closed, water backs up and flows into Lake 1. When open, Lake 1 flows into the irrigation ditch. Lake 1 and Lake 2 are connected by a 24 inch pipe.
